The FSB has detained a Yalta resident in Crimea who was involved in the murder of Valery Trankovsky, an officer of the Black Sea Fleet, in 2024. According to the department's Public Relations Center, a native of the Mykolaiv region, born in 1967, on her own initiative established contact with an SBU officer, and on his instructions equipped a cache with components of an explosive device. The IED was subsequently used to assassinate Trankovsky. In addition, a 34-year-old resident of the Kirovsky district of Crimea was detained, who transferred 5 thousand hryvnias in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and was also going to transfer information about the fuel and energy complex infrastructure, airfield and other military facilities to Ukrainian intelligence. Both defendants have been arrested.
