If daily awards were not taxed it would be antithetical to the goal of the project to dissuade early dumping before establishing adequate use case utility to absorb downside sell pressure. It’s kind of common sense that if they are locking up converted tokens that daily distribution awards and gas fees would also be subject to the exact same schedule. This was verbally reiterated by Andrew and/or Dennis P on some of our calls. Not sure why this is news to anyone as it was the understanding many of us had all along. I am sure there are some that will disagree but this has been the sentiment and has been a talking point on more than one occasion by senior leadership.

Agreed, it would be logical. Otherwise it will harm the effort to limit the selling before projects are generating real income.
I always thought it would be too. Just wonder however, if it wasn’t in the vote, would it matter. Not sure if Changes to the node payout structure are also part of the governance votes done by token holders. Wouldn’t it be at the best needed to be voted on by node holders, or not voted on at all? I’m a bit lost about who decides what 😂
But my vote is on locking node payouts with the same tax schedule for sure.
