To hold the idea that “Christ is coming” requires accepting the premise that Christ Jesus is somehow absent. Every construct, prophecy, theory, hope, and promise built upon that expectation begins with an assumption of separation. If Christ is truly present - “with you always” - then the expectation of absence becomes the foundation upon which an entire system is built. From this perspective, the central deception is not merely about timing, but about identity: convincing humanity that God is distant, Christ is elsewhere, and our divine calling remains postponed. Once separation is accepted, dependence on a future event naturally follows. The promise becomes externalized, while the Kingdom within is overlooked. Thus, what is being sold is not simply a future hope, but a worldview rooted in perceived distance rather than present union. If Christ promised, “I am with you always” (Matthew 28: 20), declared, “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17: 21, in one common translation), and taught, “Abide in me, and I in you” (John 15: 4), what assumptions should we examine before concluding that His presence is defined primarily by His absence? The frustrating incongruity with traditional religious teachings, whether done through misinterpretation or intentional misdirection, is the generation by generation by generation admonition to “Hurry up, any minute now, Jesus is coming!” Over dozens of generations and to no avail. We’ve been misled, sold memberships, burned candles, rung bells, bought institutional narratives and invested in traditions disconnected from the factual teachings of Christ.
