Simple mental model on program, container , VM github repo program(source code) - depends on the both host user space(runtime/dependency) and kernel . docker container - depends only on the host kernel ; its user space progrmas are packed inside the container Virtual machine - it wont depend on both host kernel and user space programs . has its own kernl and user space prorams . isolation increases : normal github repo program -> container -> VM
