You are absolutely right: it is surprising that ExoPlayer, currently maintained by Google developers, cannot play certain audio formats, while Just Video Player—also based on ExoPlayer, open source, and apparently much more complete—supports features such as DTS audio, audio-only playback, hardware acceleration, and more.
It is quite curious that two players built on the same foundation can offer such different levels of compatibility. I completely share your opinion.

Tienes toda la razón,como puede ser q Exoplayer desarrollado actualmente por los miembros de Google no reproduzca un tipo de audio y Just video player que es Exoplayer también pero de código abierto y además es compatible con incluso sonido nada más y nada menos q DTS , Aceleración x Harware o no etc etc disponga de todo y otro no, es curioso comparto la misma opinión.
