yea non bloated or vanilla already occupied lot of RAM if the project heavily modified, bloated or whatever you say it RAM consumption's rate will increase
Vanilla Approx ± 400mb
Fork / Modified Approx ±400mb but can be up to 1GB
like weblibre if all main feature enabled it can take up to 1GB
if you have device that have 4GB of ram i would recommend to avoid modified browser as it's not resource and multitasking friendly
