Okay, if we follow something like that, then x64 get from 64bit part.
But x86 naming came from xxx86 naming part. Not 32bit part.
Did they just grab the tail?
x86-64 refer to engines that can run both 32bit & 64 bit instruction. x64 usually only run 64bit.
