no AOSP based official max on 11 unofficial max on 14
but rule of the thumb don't ever think to use something without care your devices power
after a weeks of testing unfortunately only A8 and 11 on sweet spot because:
1. A11 is most latest modern android and last version before android become heavier (A12+)
2. A8 have more rootless mod + LOS support ADB on the go
3. RAM usage is bearable where A11 take 1.5 but A8 only 1.1 (average)
4. A8 have more app / framework disableable without root (setting)
recommendation low end setup:
1. go for A8 (LOS 15.1) & Disable all disableable apps / framework
2. Use black theme and no wallpaper
