Anything with yt-dlp is more stable. They just work. Downside, you need to understand yt-dlp.

NewPipeExtractor based keep facing issues. But PipePipe a little less issues as it already a different project compared to NewPipe. I mean, PipePipe still has changes to play the problematic video. On me, I just change SABR back to DASH.
Piped backend, basically dead. It never pass the test when YT change thing a year ago (that Signed in issue) And today, YT already changed far more. Its user suggest to use PipePipe instead.
Invidious backend, scrapping around. Sometime works, most of time doesn't.
I don't include Webview based. They're just browser. Generally work. Probably Sign in issue or player issue.
With that said. I think we could say new yt-dlp IS a browser. It heavily depend to JS now.

I was talking about that for PipePipe. You could try your luck.

PipePipe X finally broken with that counter thing. Still start far more faster than PipePipe.
One issue, kind of universal atm i guess, is seeking to a longer position gives issues, but easy fix, just close the video(not the app), and open again, it will continue fine, from the last seeked position
Hey wait a minute...
YouTube forces us to wait {time} before continuing playback
Thats new is it?
Is this why im having issues with certain videos? (I was downloading couple vids, one of em, cant download video (no matter what i do; clear download, clear cache, force stop, redownload again), tommorow suddenly works, sometimes when downloading videos, it randomly failed then continues again)
Oh no😨is this YT attempt to enforce ads to us? So if ads was blocked it will make us wait for a certain seconds before fetching again (minimum when skip button show again, or whole duration)(this would also ruin everyone w/ bad internet: they'll be forced to buffer ads, then bcz its allowed to load after ads fully watched, after all the ads was skipped over, will need to slowly refetch it again, instead of doing it while an ad was running🤮)
That's a very old device. Dead on Arrival. 2015. It specs more closer to Candy Phone than Android Phone we knew.
Assume no usage to make it battery survive for hours. That's how we use candy phone.
