I use OEM here also if you use/install other ROM if you start talking about ROM. Those ROM come with their own default Launcher.

δLeonHere, the problem is 3rd party launcher. It might trigger bug in or with default launcher. OEM ROM or 3rd party ROM.

Well good luck checking that one
Its prolly one of the app, here's thing, Android is bad at giving which apps do eat ram, eg. Termux running Llama.cpp + Gemma4 E4B, free RAM only got 1GB, swap 50% filled, check setting, termux only eats 100MB when the bar clearly tells something totally different💀
Edit: oh the system eats 5GB, must be a backend thing (idk, but u do mention launcher eating all of it)

This suucks :(
Its since Android 8, integrating recents to launcher sounds like a good thing, but if you want to use recents from another launcher, you need to make your current custom launcher privileged system app, and install an overlay pkg to make recents stuff applied, even then some (stock) ROMs still rely on default launcher, so deleting the stock launcher will cause issues (on my 2nd device, changing theme froze whole system bcz of this)
