If your blox is connected it should pick up the updates automatically and not need a maunal update. however if it was disconnected for a while it is better to do a manual upgrade.
0- clear app storage for fxblox app (Settings > Apps > Clear storage or simply uninstall and reinstall)
1- Format a USD Disk of 8GB-16GB or 32GB into FAT32 (how to format video is here ignore the copy part in the video:

2- Download this file onto your computer (Do not download directly on the USB disk)

3- Right click on it and choose unzip
4- copy the files under the unzipped folder (only the files and not the folder itself) to the USB Disk
5- Make sure Blox is unplugged from power, then Plug hte USB Disk to the TOP port of blox
6- Plug the blox to power to turn it on
7- The blox turns green-yellowish for about 10 minutes steady,
8- After about 10 minutes blox starts to flash green/blue constantly. At this point, reset is complete Unplug blox from power to turn it off,
9- unplug the update USB disk
10- Turn on blox again, and wait 10 minutes until it starts flashing blue
