I believe that was to cover the real reason. I believe they were dividing the company due to the recent attacks by different governments. If something happens and a judgment is handed down against them, then some of the assets will be protected from the judgment.

I would recommend skilled trades that have physical demands and the need for real-world problem-solving. An IT guy would be required to know how to network wires and debug servers. Whether it is code, a faulty router, or cables.
But just being a coder or graphic designer is questionable in the long run. If AI doesn't overtake much of that trade, then low-cost workers in poor countries can be used for outsourcing the work. This is because this kind of job only requires an onsite butt in the seat if the employer is paranoid about his code. IT work mandates on site workers because of the physical nature of maintaining the onsite equipment.
Other jobs like roofers, electricians that require on-the-spot thinking, dexterity, and adaptability in dynamic, real-world environments should be safe in the foreseeable future.
I consider emergency medical technicians (EMTs) as another job that should be safe from AI because of the uncertainty requiring adaptability to the current situation. Also, a simple judgment mistake in retail may be a lost sale, whereas in an emergency response situation, it could be a lost life. I don't believe I'll live to see AI being given that position anytime in my lifetime.

I've said this before but I can't believe no one is talking about the extreme oddity Elon is. He has like ten of the #1 companies all in different industries. My money is on alien or God mode. And by God mode I mean, he figured out the cheat codes to the universe, and maybe that includes time travel.
