Atomic Mail is private where Gmail is nosy. It is not invisible.
No phone. No recovery email. No ads mining your inbox. Sign up, get a seed phrase, encrypt on the device. For encrypted mail they claim zero access. That part is real, and it is the whole reason this product exists.
Now the honest part.
They keep logs for 7 days. IPs. SMTP sender and recipient addresses. That is not a no-logs service. Estonia plus GDPR is a better courtroom than Silicon Valley. It is still a courtroom. Closed source. No named public audit. Androidโs Play listing is sloppier than Appleโs โdata not collectedโ label. Deliverability has been messy for some people.
So use it like this:
Treat it as a clean alias machine. Ten free aliases. Hide the real address. Encrypt anything that would hurt if leaked.
If you want audited, open-source, IMAP-ready privacy mail, Tuta or a self-hosted email still win. If you want a free second identity that does not demand your phone number, Atomic Mail earns a seat.
