Messi did absolutely sod all in that WC final last night, apart from drawing a couple of fouls and trying to get Marc Cucurella sent off for 'covering his mouth' (which he barely did).
When Enzo got deservedly sent off, the Argies were effectively reduced to 9 men on the pitch as Messi was just walking around and not pressing the Spanish. Of course, he is exempt from defensive duties plus he's 39 and would have been knackered. Should have been subbed off to save the game but that was never going to happen
