I’ve noticed a systematic problem with how communication with the Oasis community is handled.
When the community raises difficult or uncomfortable questions, the response is very often something like “I’ll pass this along to the team.” But afterwards, in most cases, we never receive any response from the actual team. And when a response does appear, it often doesn’t actually address the questions that were raised.
We saw exactly the same situation a few days ago when questions were raised about Midas and the investment in this project. I also asked a specific list of questions, but so far I still haven’t received a clear and substantive response from the team.
I understand that ambassadors cannot answer every question themselves, and I have nothing against them passing feedback to the team. The problem is what happens afterwards: where are the actual answers from the people who are directly responsible for the project?
At some point, repeatedly saying “we’ll pass this along to the team” without any follow-up response stops being meaningful communication. This approach creates the impression that the community has been heard, while in practice the questions simply remain unanswered.
A serious project should be able to communicate directly with its community, especially when it comes to important decisions, investments, product development, and the future of the project.
I genuinely want to see the actual team address these questions directly, instead of ambassadors constantly having to act as intermediaries between the community and the team.
