Honestly... We hire resourceful people.
Stand on your MS SQL experience, and mention that differences can usually be minor.
But research MVCC and the damage long running queries can have. That affects PG a bit more.
(Although, I know MS SQL systems that Lock up for the ENTIRE time a report is running, which sucks)
Anyways, after that mention how you would deal with the incompatibilities and issues...
Your confidence in MS SQL will pay off.
The difference after that is syntax, and then systems. Especially if you are a developer over a DBA.
I think the company will appreciate the honesty.
ALSO: Never be afraid to admit you do not know/understand something. We REFUSE to hire people who think they know more than they actually do, because those people are dangerous in a production environment.
