I suspect so, yes. The core of both systems (which, as I said, are essentially just variations) is the spark gap. It's undisputed that the ZVS flyback system works well, just like MWO antennas. My thoughts were along the lines of why Amenofis abandoned the original design. Was it a budget issue, or was it due to tests or physics?
