Shortening your sentence does not necessarily mean your cost will be lower. It depends on how much feedback the agent provides. For example, if you simply write “hlw,” but the agent responds with “Hi! How are you?”, the agent has generated 4 words. Those 4 words can require around 3 to 4 tokens to serve. So, the cost mainly depends on the amount of output or feedback generated by the agent, not just on how short your input sentence is. (The token ratio may be higher or lower.)
