🌅MORNING LIGHT “Then Shall Your Light Breakforth As The Morning...” Isaiah 58:8 TUESDAY, 11 AUGUST 2026 🎯 GOD’S MISSION, MY PASSION ARE YOU A WITNESS? 🔎📖 LUKE 16:19-31, ACTS 10:1-44 🎯📖 Luke 16:30 “No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’” The conversation between the Richman and Father Abraham also raises a vital element for effective evangelism. He earnestly pleaded that a messenger be sent from the dead to speak to the living. Knowing that dead bodies don’t speak, he was indirectly asking for a dead person to be raised to life just to speak to the living. What will make that person more suitable to share the message? The person will speak as a witness! This is exactly why we are more suitable to warn the unsaved because we have also been dead before. Galatians 2:19 reminds us that we are dead, yet we live by faith in Christ. We were saved to serve as witnesses, sharing the message angels cannot say. Are you a witness? 👉🏽 WHAT AN ANGEL CANNOT SAY Acts 10:4-5 “Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter.” We can only imagine the vast distance and celestial dimensions the angel crossed to visit Cornelius and the importance of what he must have had to say. Strangely, he just asked Cornelius to send for Peter in Joppa. Why? What did Cornelius need to hear that an angel, with all his celestial endowment could not say better than a mortal unschooled fisherman like Peter. Now we know, the angel is not a witness! He cannot assure Cornelius of a new life in Christ because he had never been dead in sin. Just as the rich man requested for someone from the land of the dead, God sent Peter, who had a first hand experience of being dead but now saved from sin, uncontrolled anger and the guilt of denying Jesus. No angel can say that convincingly. What has God saved you from? Who were you before Jesus met you?
