Time Travelertext not yet in the indexI can't disagree with you... my perspective is train so that you don't have to go to the ground. I invited 2 MMA Jujitsu guys to my sparring club to test myself out against them. They train so much within the sports mentality, rather than combat that they don't know how to handle a variety of techniques, the one guy wouldn't even spar me after watching what happened with the first one. This isn't bragging, it's just proving my point that so many people are fooled into thinking groundfighting is the end all be all... due to the popularity of MMA of course.

I really want to get good at BJJ but it’s still at a phase in its mass adoption where it’s taught so inefficiently. Maybe it keeps non committal people out but to get good you have to stay at the same studio mostly and turn it into at least another part time job
