FireFly Guidance Module for Guided Munitions from Heavy Bombers Receives Ministry of Defense Codification - Defender Media
FireFly is installed on a munition suspended from a bomber. After the operator identifies and designates the target, and the munition is released, the system automatically adjusts the flight path of the munition.
The operator only needs to select and acquire the target, while the delivery is carried out without additional manual control.
The system is already being used by units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Perun, Vampire, and other bombers.
According to the developer, the FireFly module:
is compatible with munitions weighing from 1 to 9 kg;
allows for release heights from 200 to 500 meters;
enables the use of munitions day and night.
Depending on the type of platform, the altitude of use, and weather conditions, the accuracy of the strike is from 0.5 to 2 meters from the point selected by the operator.
The manufacturer's production capacity allows for the production of up to 10,000 FireFly modules per month, with the possibility of further scaling.

Lithuania is launching a civic initiative called Drone Radar to convert unused Android smartphones into acoustic drone detectors to enhance national air defence. Created by Audrius Zujus, the project aims to create a network of sensors capable of identifying the buzzing sounds of low-flying aircraft, supplementing official warning systems that are slow to expand.

📣 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a major expansion of defense cooperation with France, including licenses for Ukraine to produce SCALP cruise missiles, AASM precision-guided bombs and Aster 30 air-defense missiles domestically. Local manufacturing is expected to strengthen Ukraine’s long-term ability to replenish critical munitions and reduce dependence on irregular foreign deliveries. France and Italy will also accelerate previously agreed shipments of Aster 30 interceptors by October, while two existing SAMP/T systems are expected to reinforce Ukrainian air defenses this year.
