Unfortunately we have an extremely horrible condition of this Ummah nowadays. Calling something "idol worship" is a MASSIVE thing by the way. Shirk with Allāh is not forgiven, its a way of calling someone a disbeliever when you say "x, y, and z are idol worshippers". Which is why these topics should be only spoken about once one gains the knowledge for it. It requires one's proficiency in ḥadīths and tafsīr. Only after one proficiently masters these topics after reading what the correct scholars have to say about it, can he be considered allowed to talk on them.

  Can you imagine a state of the Ummah where tons of our countries are filled with grave-worship, but instead of fighting what is actual Shirk, Muslims will fight each other on issues far less than it. Like not even mistakes in ʿaqīdah, but just individual mistakes which get made looked at as if they are larger than life
