Sometimes it feels like my heart is punching against my chest, begging to break free. My ribs feel shattered from the inside, as if my heart has grown too heavy for my body to hold. I can feel every heartbeat like a fist against a broken cage, screaming to get out. I wish I could tear my chest open just to make this pain stop.
