Government on Monday notified that banks and payment system providers cannot impose direct or indirect charges on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions of up to Rs 2,000 or payments made using RuPay debit cards.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 A of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 (51 of 2007), the Central Government hereby specifies the following electronic modes of payment, namely:
(i) Debit Card powered by RuPay; and
(ii) Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions upto Rs. 2,000,”
the ministry of finance said.
Chinese company ubetech robotics has just opened a new humanoid robot smart factory that can produce one industrial robot every 10 minutes. According to the company, the new factory has an annual production capacity of 10,000 robots. The 14,000-square-metre facility, which stands 13.8 metres high, mainly produces Ubetech’s Walker S and Cruzr series of industrial humanoid robots.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday laid the foundation stone for Adani Power Limited's 3,200 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant at Chapar in Dhubri district, marking one of the largest private investments in the state's history.
The project, which entails an investment of around Rs 48,000 crore, is expected to significantly boost Assam's power generation capacity.

MoD has signed a ₹586 crore contract with Accurate Industrial Controls Private Limited to procure indigenously developed Auxiliary Power Units for T 72 and T 90 tanks. The contract was signed on September 21 2026 in New Delhi. APUs provide alternate electric power for fire control systems firing circuits gun stabilisation and other tank systems.
The procurement will strengthen operational readiness and reliability of India’s Mechanised Formations. It also advances defence indigenisation Make II Aatmanirbharta and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
