handoff > 60sec is nonsense. default is 15s, some masters set to 30s, 180s on your master is already too high

What is that handoff thingy? Please ELI5. 😊

with multiple talkgroups subscribed on a repeater slot, only last (active via rf) talkgroup gets traffic from network for a configured time period (it's a littl bit more complicated than that but most people care about rf activity so..)

Hello everyone, I have a quick question regarding the BrandMeister SelfCare account activation. I submitted my registration on Saturday, but I haven’t received any update yet. Does anyone have experience with how long the activation process usually takes? I completely understand that BrandMeister is run by volunteers, and I really appreciate the time and effort everyone puts into keeping the network running. I’m just wondering whether it’s normal to wait a few days, or if I should check whether there might be an issue with my request. Sorry, but I don't understand. Can you explain better? On BM222, handoff only works on RF signals and not on those coming from the network. If I make a call on a repeater where there are multiple static TG and, for example, IK2EAE from another repeater answers with a 20-second message, when he stops talking on my repeater, he is no longer a priority. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

there is no such thing as "priorities".

Thanks everyone for the discussion and the quick resolution to the problem. A 180-second handoff is sufficient for most QSOs. If Tullio and the BM 2222 team would consider my requests, I'd be happy. For now, thanks again guys 🤝

I'm working on adding in our Motorola SLR 5700 to the BM network. It has a RadioID.net repeater number assigned. When I log into BM under the trustee call sign, it is not listed under self care. What am I missing?

Is the repeater marked as online in radioid?

Yes, the ID is 315037

repeater owner is W0ZC. W0ZC is not registered on brandmeister. thats why
