It went amiably enough. He was willing to listen to me without cutting me off. But we did disagree on a lot. He recommended Poplin’s book Canvas of Creation, which I can already tell is going to be pretty terrible. My plan is to read it anyway and point out what it gets wrong. This might end up in a struggle session, but I’m willing to endure that instead of just leaving, because as far as I know, there aren’t any other churches in my area that are better on this issue.
