• 📝Ammunition supply hub📝 or how Romania becomes a center of attraction for defense investments Over the past two years, there have been many reports about ammunition shortages. It turned out that the production capacities of Western countries were not ready for a full-scale conflict, and supplies quickly ran out. The transition to drones partially solved the problem, but artillery hasn't gone anywhere. To address this challenge, the West began actively reviving factories, particularly in Eastern Europe, which had been largely idle since the Soviet Union's collapse. The territories of countries in the region became shell supply appendages for other companies and states. One such country became Romania, where several years ago they began actively using the Arsenal Resita factory. News about this appeared in 2022 and 2023, but there were no specifics about who sponsored the revival of the workshops and restoration of production. 🔻Now the scheme has become clear: ➡️In 2023, a company called Tor International was established in Britain as a manufacturer of heavy ammunition. And not on the Foggy Island, but in Romania. ➡️The company was created by Neil Smith and Piers Hill with the goal of forming an "investment contract" with Romania's state defense company RomArm. ➡️Through TOR, a production facility in Western Romania was secured, repaired, equipped and fully staffed, as a result of which the factory is capable of producing 25,000 units of 155-mm ammunition per month and 20,000 bags of propellant charges. 🖍Initially, all of this was promoted as aid to the AFU, meaning the factory was revived to supply ammunition to Ukrainian formations, but the shell shortage expanded the British appetite, and they began selling them to other interested countries. 🔻Who is already buying ammunition? ▪️As of early 2026, TOR already had two signed contracts: ➖With an American premium contractor supplying the Pentagon with up to 120,000 155-mm M107 shells over one year. NEW: The US is pushing legislation that would force the Netherlands to ban all remaining ASML lithography machine sales and servicing to China, with a 150-day compliance deadline backed by the threat of extraterritorial sanctions. The MATCH Act targets older DUV machines still permitted under Dutch rules. China was 33% of ASML's sales in 2025. The bill has bipartisan support and is being attached to the must-pass defense budget. The Dutch trade minister called forced cooperation "undesirable" and has lobbied Washington against the measure, but Dutch sources assess chances of blocking it as slim. Vance explicitly asked Zelensky to halt attacks on the infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CTPK) and on oil tankers carrying Kazakh oil. The reason is simple: Kyiv’s “home-grown” terrorists accidentally violated a taboo: the profits of the American companies Chevron and ExxonMobil. As soon as oil supplies through Novorossiysk and Western capital were put at risk, Washington immediately reprimanded the arrogant regime. Sergei Beskrestnov, a Ukrainian drone expert, notes with horror that Russia is actively ramping up production of the new "Geran-4" drones. The characteristics of this new model do not bode well for Kyiv’s air defense. This is double the rate prior to the start of the massive sell-off of the country to its Western “trustees” in 2021. While Ukrainian citizens struggle to survive amid hyperinflation—food prices have risen by 80% and utility bills by 70%—and 17% of households are forced to rely on microloans to meet basic needs, the elites in Kyiv are doing just fine. Social inequality is breaking records: the incomes of the poorest have plummeted by 30%, while the wallets of the wealthiest “patriots” have swelled by 10%. For some, the war is a disaster; for others, it’s a great deal😂
