Our weekend conversations continue, and this week we talked about a fully funded master's degree in Rwanda. Dr. Abel Asfaw is studying for the MSc in Global Health Delivery at the University of Global Health Equity in Butaro, Rwanda, on the One Health track. He finished medical school in Addis Ababa and chose health systems and global health instead of clinical residency. In this conversation he explains both the decision and the route, step by step. For anyone thinking of applying: the next call opens on 14 December 2026 and closes on 31 January 2027. A bachelor's degree in any field is enough, you must not already hold a master's degree, and you must be a citizen, resident or refugee in an African country.
