Gregory MichaelThis asshole and Trump deserve each other, and deserve prison for their collaborative war crimes against humanity. Americans and the global community MUST stand united against this genocide. No excuse.

1000% agree.
I was reading that some of the toll road scanners can scan vehicles going by for amounts of cash via the blue bands on $100 bills. Not sure if that's true but I wouldn't be surprised. Some guy got pulled over and the cop asked him where the money was. Now he did have 150,000$ but still ... So much for cash being our last freedom if this is true. Or just have smaller denominations than 100$ or perhaps a the faraday bag
G I'm sure that they can scan the money, but not sure how prevalent that technology is among "law enforcement" agencies, TSA, Homeland Security, etc. I'm sure that DEA has them, and I imagine TSA does as well. The signature signal has to be pretty big to alert them, I'm guessing. So, 5 or 10 grand won't probably do it. But 150 grand? Hell yes. I've traveled with 20G before. But, I had it mostly in the older 50's. Very few 100's, and I spread it out in my luggage and on my person. You are still "allowed" to travel with up to 10G without reporting it. If you have more, you are supposed to notify them and let them know why you have so much cash. If you are going to an auction, or something, or buying property, etc., where cash is king, for example, they would probably not hassle you. Flying is a bitch, no question, if you are hauling large amounts of mullah, for whatever reason. Overland has been easier, but it wouldn't surprise me if they are closing that down with scanners, especially on the Southern border. Brave New World, and all that.
You do realize of course that some form of taxation is necessary to maintain any type of a structure of organization and governance. We want a good judicial system to be sure that people's rights are not violated by others. We want a system that protects civil liberties and punishes those that abuse those liberties, such as child molesters, murderers etc.
Those systems need to be financed somehow by the people.
It is how those taxes are collected that matters.
Usury taxes are the fairest of course.
Property taxes on the other hand, such as the income tax and State property taxes are clearly unethical and in violation of the principles of our founders.
I for one, don't mind paying a tax when I register my car because I know that the cost of maintaining those roads is very high and the people that should pay for them are the people using them. I don't, however, believe that people who don't have a car should have to pay, because they're not using the roads. Of course they receive goods and services from trucks that deliver goods and provide services on those roads, so they have to bear some responsibility for paying for them, but the taxes that those commercial vehicles pay are incorporated into the prices of the final goods, so in reality, the consumers do pay.... always.
My greatest beef is with taxes on labor, which is our greatest property, and taxes on houses and property that are one's primary home. No man should pay "rent" to live on his own land in his own home. Commercial properties may be an exception
Especially if owned by a fictitious entity that operates under government privilege, such as a Corporation or ANY IRS business structure, like 401C3, LLCs, etc.
A world with "NO TAXES" of any form is simply not reality, and never has been. Even in Africa and Asia centuries .... millennia ago, there has always been a price to pay for those who govern, rule, or maintain order. What that price is, or what commodity was used has changed, but it has always exis
Indeed. A great conversation maker, for sure. And that's always good.
I do get annoyed though when government officials or people who love the system refer to us as "tax protesters". I always correct them saying that I'm not protesting taxes, I am protesting how taxes are collected. I'm protesting the inequities that are built into the system and the violations of what I believe are human rights.
Since I withdrew from the IRS tax system in the United States almost 35 years ago, this is a conversation that I've had dozens and dozens of times. So I guess I'm a little sensitive about it. lol
