KJP21 is the third Indian-born female cheetah to give birth, after Mukhi and KGP12—an important milestone in the emergence of the next generation of India’s cheetah population.
With the arrival of these five cubs, the cheetah population in India has reached 60, including 41 Indian-born cheetahs.
Importantly, these cubs also mark the beginning of the Botswanan lineage in India, as their father is a Botswanan male cheetah—adding a new genetic lineage to India’s growing cheetah population.

🇰🇭🤝🇮🇳 Indian Support Helps Return Nearly 198,000 Square Metres of De-mined land to Koh Kong Community in Cambodia
Nearly 198,000 square metres of land cleared of landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs) has been formally returned to residents of the coastal village of Koh Pao village in Pak Khlang commune, Koh Kong province, following clearance efforts supported by the Government of India through a Quick Impact Project (QIP).
At a handover ceremony on October 1, approximately 197,810 square metres of cleared land were returned to the community, benefiting around 134 families. With support from India’s humanitarian mine-action cooperation, the restored land will provide residents with safer access for farming, housing, livelihoods and other socio-economic activities.
