According to the verdict, the key reason for the conviction was that the information related to an event from approximately three years prior; consequently, the public interest was deemed not significant enough to justify sharing the information. The fact that the information was true was considered irrelevant to the assessment:
She was convicted of aggravated defamation—based on her status as a minor at the time of the incident—and ordered to pay 30,000 SEK (2,700 euros) in damages to the man. Additionally, she must pay a fine of 5,000 SEK.
Had she been an adult, she could have faced a prison sentence of up to two years.
