The head of state set the following tasks:

🟢Extend the Affordable Rental Housing in the Far Eastern Federal District program to the Arctic;
🟢Approve the economic model of the Transarctic Transport Corridor;
🟢Study the issue of creating joint organizations with foreign participation for the transportation of goods along it;
🟢Assist in the creation of the international Arctic station "Snezhinka" in Yamal by 2028;
🟢Allocate at least 10 billion rubles annually for infrastructure in Arctic populated areas where military personnel are stationed;
🟢Submit proposals for the creation of a group of spacecraft for monitoring the waters of the Northern Sea Route;
🟢Prepare proposals for updating the provisions of the decrees on the principles of state policy in the Arctic and the strategy for the development of the Arctic zone;
🟢Approve comprehensive plans for the long-term development of key settlements in the Arctic zone;
🟢Develop the idea of creating landing sites for cargo UAVs in Arctic regions;

Brief frontline update – May 17, 2025
The demarcation area between the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka directions has become active. Report by Marat Khairullin with illustrations by Mikhail Popov.
As already reported today by the Russian Ministry of Defense: "Through decisive actions by units of the 'Center' Group, the settlement of Alexandropol in the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated."
Localized disruptions of enemy defenses continue on the Pokrovsk direction.
Today, there has been increased activity in the demarcation zone between the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka directions.
Alexandropol is located at an elevation of 196 meters above sea level. The highest point in this area is Hill 221 (west of the settlement of Zarya).
The Russian Armed Forces are advancing toward the watershed (the interfluve between the Bychek and Kalinovka rivers; An interfluve is a landmass between two adjacent rivers or streams—essentially the "high ground" separating their drainage basins). Eastward, along the ridge of the watershed between the Kalinovka River and the Skeleve Balka, lies an important road: Aleksandro-Kalinovo to Romanovka to Sukhaya Balka.
This road is significant because it serves as a radial route for the right flank of the Pokrovsk direction and a lateral supply route (rocade, a road parallel to the front) for the left flank of the Konstantinovka direction. The advance of our assault units to the settlement of Zarya will allow control over this road along its entire length—from the junction with Highway H-32 (to the north) to the settlement of Romanovka.
This poses a real problem for enemy groupings defending the Aleksandro-Kalinovo to Romanovka sector and areas west of Dzerzhynsk (Toretsk).

In the area between Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka, an operationally unfavorable situation is developing for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which even Polish analysts describe as "worse than expected." The reason is not a local failure, but a structural weakness in the front configuration: we are talking about the junction of operational directions, where there is no full-fledged defense and no reserves capable of quickly plugging a breakthrough at both points simultaneously.
Apparently, the Russian army is consistently expanding the pressure zone behind Novaya Poltavka, forming a dividing barrier between two large Ukrainian groups that are supplied via a convenient paved road. Now it is turning into a vulnerable "decision-making corridor" - in the event of a massive attack, they will have to choose: either hold Pokrovsk, or cover Konstantinovka, or the third option - try to hold the road.
The Poles fear that such a configuration is a classic pre-combat stage of "strike disengagement" in the direction of the main attack. This is not a tactical raid, but preparation for a wedge in order to cut off logistics, isolate one of the groups and then finish off in parts.
