Good morning advocates.
Remember to ground today.
Discharge that tension into the ground.
Recharge.
568 ยท Advocates;
Another week coming up. Let's tick through this challenge at the end of the week.
+ Don't create any excuses for anything this week.
+ Write down your morning workout schedule for at least 2 days this week. Share if you can. Ensure you work it out, not just sharing.
+ At least two runs/walks this week. This is not replacing morning workouts in the point above.
+ Eat only once. Preferably in the evening. Prioritize animal proteins.
+ Ensure a cold shower all week. It's a challenge, not a competition. Psyche yourself.
+ Don't miss out on the 48 hour fast at the end of the week as we will be completing it.
+ Be in bed latest at 11pm. If you can, set an alarm for it.
+ Practice the silent prayer after waking up and before bed. 2-4 minutes is enough. If you get distracted, move. Perfect next time.
+ Stay present intentionally. Try.
We meet from tomorrow all the way to the end of the week. We will see how far you can push a 5-7 days discipline.
Let's go๐ช

403 ยท The "BUSY" trap.
Being busy doesn't always mean growth. Don't confuse activity with progress.
+ You wake up early.
+ You answer WhatsApp messages.
+ You reply to comments.
+ You post on Facebook.
+ You make a TikTok.
+ You check Instagram.
+ You attend meetings.
+ You respond to emails.
+ You make phone calls.
+ You run errands.
+ You spend the entire day moving.
Then at 10 PM you ask yourself:
โWhat did I actually accomplish today?โ
And sometimes the uncomfortable answer is; Not much. It can be depressing because sometimes you realize you spent more hoping that one day it will give back.
Imagine you run a clothing business like I did back then at imenti house and RNG plaza in Nairobi CBD.
You spend three hours creating a small video for marketing. The video gets 20,000 views.
You spend another hour replying to comments.
You gain 300 followers.
It feels like a productive day, but how many people actually asked about the clothes?
How many visited your shop?
How many placed an order?
How much revenue came from that activity?
Attention is not automatically business.
The same applies to a health coach.
You post five motivational videos on Tiktok. One gets 50,000 views.
People comment:
โ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅโ
โVery true!โ
โThank you, Doctor!โ
But nobody books a consultation.
You may have created content, but you haven't necessarily created clients.
And this is why platforms give you analytics.
YouTube, for example, lets creators look beyond views at impressions, click-through rate, watch time, audience retention and traffic sources.
TikTok's Business tools similarly provide metrics across reach, engagement and conversion; including views, shares, watch time, clicks and lead submissions.
Don't just ask how many people saw my post. At least focus on what did your post accomplish?
Did it create awareness?
Did it generate enquiries?
Did it bring people into your WhatsApp?
Did someone book?
Did someone buy?
Did it bring a previous customer back?
Don
431 ยท You own the business, you make the decisions, you carry the risks, but somehow, everyone gets paid except you.
+ Employees get salaries.
+ Suppliers get paid.
+ The landlord gets paid.
The business keeps growing. And you keep telling yourself, โIโll take something when thereโs enough money.โ
Years later, you may have a busy business but no personal financial progress.
Put your own pay into the business plan. Decide on a reasonable, sustainable amount and pay yourself consistently, while keeping business money separate from personal money.
Don't take everything the business makes. But don't make yourself the last bill the business pays either.

397 ยท Most people don't know their value. I think it's sometimes because we rush to copy others because their business or idea seems to be working.
You did the work.
You know the time it takes.
You know the skill required.
You know what it cost you to learn it.
You know the value of the result you are delivering.
Yet the moment someone asks, โHow much should I pay you?โ you start calculating: โWhat if I overcharge? What if they think I'm expensive? What if I lose the customer?โ
That uncertainty is costing you money.
Know your price before you are asked. Don't pull a figure from the air based on how wealthy the client looks or how afraid you are of losing them.
Have a rate, understand your costs, understand your market, understand the value of the outcome, and most importantly, stop apologising for charging for a skill you spent years developing.
There is also a difference between being affordable and being cheap. Affordable is a pricing strategy. Cheap is sometimes a confidence problem.
If you don't know the value of your work, don't be surprised when someone else decides it's worth very little.

458 ยท Another expensive mistake in business is putting family loyalty ahead of competence.
You hire your cousin because you trust him, your sister because you want to help her, or your brother because โhe is family.โ
Then the problems begin:
+ Lateness
+ Poor performance
+ Poor hygiene
+ Missed targets and even work days, and suddenly correcting an employee feels like starting a family fight.
Your mother starts making noise just because your last born brother said you are harassing him.
Your business should not become a family reunion with salaries.
If you choose to employ a family member, apply the same rules you would apply to everyone else.
Qualifications, clear responsibilities, targets, working hours, performance reviews, disciplinary schedules and accountability.
Don't create a job simply because someone needs one. Hire for competence, manage for performance, and let family remain family.

521 ยท Also, if you are a Man and you employ your wife. She doesn't automatically become your best employee. Separate emotions from finances. The two hardly roll along.
Let her understand the terms and conditions.
Love is not a job description.
Read Family business ownership; How to be an effective shareholder by Craig E. Aronoff. It specifically addresses roles, responsibilities and the tension between family members and business ownership.

This is awesome doc,
An underrated health hack;
Do it with no goals attached to it.
The moment you attach a goal, you are now under pressure. You are bound to fail.
Consistency has no goal attached to it. It's just doing it because it is the right thing to do and gols will fall into their place.
Consistency also has no competition or comparison.
So drop all those goals and just do the right thing. You already have the information. Use it.
