Growing AUM may become a problem for all active schemes, but some get more affected than others. Like Focused Mutual Funds. If it performs too well, it will attract huge AUM but as per SEBI categorisation - only 30 stocks can be there in the portfolio. - @InvestRepeat

If you have a hectic salaried job or lack passion for stock analysis then you don't need to do direct stocks. But you can still generate wealth. Either buy Nifty 500 or buy 2 flexi cap funds. And keep doing SIP with top-up for 20 years. Focus on asset allocation and increasing income. - @InvestRepeat

If you don't like actively managed mutual funds, simply buy a Nifty 500 or Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Index fund. And if you don't like passive funds, simply buy 2 flexi cap funds. That's it. Don't need anything fancy. Focus most of your time on increasing income. - @InvestRepeat

Today I learned - Gig workers delivering stuffs for companies like Blinkit, Zepto are earning nearly ₹27,000 a month for 8-10 hrs daily delivery. Petrol cost is on the worker. And if its an EV then cost is lower. So on an average not really bad earnings considering that the only skill set required is driving. - @InvestRepeat

Zerodha allowing US stocks is fine. But remember three important things: 1️⃣ US don't really have "growth" or "accumulating" ETFs so they force distribute dividends which you will have to declare in your tax filing. 2️⃣ US has additional Estate Tax. Zerodha doesn't allow UCITS ETFs yet. 3️⃣ Everyone is piling into US stocks now. May not be very wise to FOMO a large portion of your investment into it. Dollar cost average or SIP it if required. And stick to your asset allocation at all cost. - @InvestRepeat

When a Mutual Fund scheme says that they hold 12% of their portfolio in cash, many think it is just in a bank account earning nothing. No. Mutual funds actually keep cash in products like Tri-Party Repo (TREPS). That means the cash is earning a 6-7% yield (return). - @InvestRepeat
