🌅MORNING LIGHT “Then Shall Your Light Breakforth As The Morning...” Isaiah 58:8 FRIDAY, 2 OCTOBER 2026 🎯 A LOT FROM LOT LIVING NEAR SODOM 🔎📖 GENESIS 13:8-18 🎯📖 Genesis 13:10 “And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.” Lot’s visual analysis of the plains of Jordan was very interesting. For him it was like the garden of the Lord and like the land of Egypt at the same time. Though they may look alike, the garden of the Lord in Eden was never located in Egypt and they were not the same. Today, this kind of blurred perception of values and distorted definition of God’s moral standards are rooted in moral relativism. This brings a confusion between the things of God and the things of the world. 1John 2:15-17 clearly warns that the things of the world: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life are not from God and that they will all perish. Don’t try to confuse the land of Egypt with the Garden of Eden. Lot’s warped perception led him to a dangerous station and a tragic destination. Beware of the stations of the ungodly, for they shall lead to the destinations of the ungodly. 👉🏽 LOT’S STATION Genesis 13:12 “Abram lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom.” As at this time, God had not yet destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. However, the people and culture of Sodom existed near the plains of Jordan where Lot chose to stay. Possibly, if any one had warned him of his reckless choice, maybe he would have made a defense saying, I am not in Sodom, I just live near Sodom! Today, many Christians express their liberties by ‘living near Sodom.’ This is living a life without clearly defining your moral position but rather expo

that where Thou art in glory there shall Thy servant be; and, Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end; O give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend! 🙏🏽 PRAYER O Most Merciful Father, please deliver me from myself! 🌅MORNING LIGHT “Then Shall Your Light Breakforth As The Morning...” Isaiah 58:8 SATURDAY, 3 OCTOBER 2026 🎯 A LOT FROM LOT NOT LEARNING FROM A MISTAKE 🔎📖 GENESIS 14:8-24 🎯📖 Genesis 14:12 “They also took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.” We learn from mistakes, but not the same mistakes. If others make mistakes, to repeat them is foolishness. So, Otto Von Bismarck warns that “Fools say that they learn by experience. I prefer to profit by others experience.” We don’t need to repeat mistakes. Lot made a terrible mistake that landed him in Sodom and cost him all his wealth. But the experience was good. Richelle Goodrich reminds us that “Many times what we perceive as an error or failure is actually a gift. And eventually we find that lessons learned from that discouraging experience prove to be of great worth.” Was Lot rescued from that mistake? Did Lot learn from that mistake? 👉🏽 RESCUED FROM THE MISTAKE Genesis 14:15-16 “During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.” When Abraham heard that his nephew had been abducted, he scrambled a team of 318 men he had trained and they took off on a surgical rescue mission. They did not just rescue Lot alive, but they recovered all his possessions! Glory to God!!! It is God’s mercies that rescues lawful captives from their captors. Have you ever messed up and cried out for God to save you from the mess? As you pleaded with God, did you promise him never to repeat that mistake if only He will save you? Did He save you? I am sure we can count how many times God saved us from terrible situations that we led ourselves into, through our foolishness, carelessness, selfishness, wickedness, shortsightedness or unfaithfulness. God shows Himself faithful. Do we show ourselves faithful too?

🌅MORNING LIGHT “Then Shall Your Light Breakforth As The Morning...” Isaiah 58:8 SUNDAY, 4 OCTOBER 2026 🎯 A LOT FROM LOT WHO MADE YOU? 🔎📖 GENESIS 14:8-24 🎯📖 Genesis 14:22-23 “But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.” After the daring and successful rescue mission launched by Abraham and his squad, the King of Sodom offered him all the recovered wealth of Sodom for himself . What an opportunity for Abraham to ‘make it!’ Surprisingly, he rejected all of it! Was he not foolish? Why did he not seize the moment? What was wrong with the gift? After all, as the rescuer, was he not entitled to the booty? Abraham’s answer was simple. Lest the king of Sodom says, “I made Abraham rich.” For Abraham, his wealth must be connected to the providence of the God he served and not the king of Sodom. We live in highly pluralistic times, when people live by the code that the end justifies the means? That is not true? Beyond what you have, Heaven and Hell are interested in the question, who made you? 👉🏽 MADE IN SODOM Matthew 4:9 “All this I will give you,” he (Satan) said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” What benefits was Lot gaining int Sodom to justify remain in Sodom and not upsetting their immoral culture? Whatever it was, Abraham did not want to be made by the King of Sodom. There is another King of the greater ‘Sodom,’ who once upon a time, wanted to make Jesus rich too. That day Satan exposed a secret, that he could give worldly wealth to those who bow to him. If your increase in life comes through some forms of compromise on integrity, relegation of scriptures, unethical practices or gains from immorality, then the King of Sodom can boast that he made you rich! Why must we seek the wealth from the King of Sodom when Psalm 24:1 r

🌅MORNING LIGHT “Then Shall Your Light Breakforth As The Morning...” Isaiah 58:8 MONDAY, 5 OCTOBER 2026 🎯 A LOT FROM LOT WHEN GOD IS SILENT 🔎📖 GENESIS 18:16-21, 1Samuel 3:1-9 🎯📖 Genesis 18:17 “Then the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?” God was going to Sodom to destroy it because of its wickedness. Then Abraham was in Mamre while Lot was in Sodom, yet God was concerned that He needed to tell Abraham about His plans. Why was God not speaking directly to Lot? Was Lot bothered that though he followed Abraham, the God of Abraham never spoke to him? God has never used a vessel He did not speak to. If you do not hear from God then you should be worried and seek to discern the reason for your season. Because the word of God is alive and active and He watches over His words to perform it. If you are comfortable when God is silent over your life, perhaps Satan is setting you up for a great fall. Cry out with all your heart, when God’s silent over you! 👉🏽 WHEN GOD IS SILENT 1 Samuel 3:1 “The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions. Why was God not speaking to Lot? When Eli was the Chief Priest, God was silent over Israel because He was displeased with them. Then Eli sat in his usual place, now used to the silence. Though religious activities were performed, the people were ungodly and the priests who should correct them were corrupted. So God was silent. We live in strange times that seeking to hear God is not a priority of many people. Please do not mistake God’s silence for an approval and don’t think you can go far without His Word. Until He speaks, He has not! Let us refuse to be comfortable with His silence. Let us reject sin and cry out for mercies until the heavens open to us with the word of life again. 👉🏽 WHEN GOD SPEAKS 1 Samuel 3:3-4 “The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was.
