Until now, those companies decided which partners got early access to their most advanced models. Going forward, government approval may be required before certain organizations can use them. The White House has also launched a new AI cybersecurity initiative called Gold Eagle, designed to coordinate with AI companies on national security risks. The move comes after growing concerns that cutting-edge AI could be used to discover software vulnerabilities, launch cyberattacks, or threaten critical infrastructure.
