Making all from scratch. › In June, the prototype of the new version of the game was finally completed - "My Dancin' Computer: The College Demo". This version was needed to understand the overall picture of the game, and was also released as a diploma project for college, which I successfully passed and graduated. After several tests of the product, shortcomings in the game's performance were identified - microfreezes constantly occurred, which is very fatal for a rhythm game. Clickteam Fusion could not live up to expectations, and is not suitable for serious projects. Well, at least it turned out to be a great prototype. › After some active discussions, it was decided to remake the whole game from scratch, based on the prototype made. Godot was chosen as the future engine. I received various reviews from people who understand this engine, and therefore the game will now be made on it. I will have to learn this engine and how to work in it, but I am ready for this, because I want to finish the game like no one else. › At the moment, a general idea of ​​the game is being created, some assets are being reworked, the repository is being updated, and the engine is being studied. Also, the gameplay concepts and some interface will be reworked so that the game does not look like the prototype externally, but it is pleasant to play. I understand that this will now take many times more development time, but this is all for the sake of good optimization and a memorable game, so that you have good impressions. › Thank you for waiting. NEW CHARACTER MAIL APPEARED! › Introducing Malister, the Mail Agent. A postal service for, surprisingly, receiving, sending, and sorting email. He wears a light blue jacket with a mail slot on the top, a mail archive on the side, and a numbered tag on his head. › The tag displays the number of unread email and lights up red when a new one arrives. Email protrudes slightly from the slot at the top, making it easy to retrieve and read in full. If desired, Malister can read the received email for you with his robotic TTS voice. › To send a email, you must insert it into the slot at the top, having first written the sender's address on the envelope. Otherwise, Malister will not be able to accept your delivery. › There's a drawer-like opening on Malister's side, allowing you to access an archive of saved received emails and copies of sent ones. › When communicating, his teeth don't open like Openly. As mentioned earlier, he speaks in a robotic TTS. › He simply does his job. He's a bit slow due to the number of letters he contains. The more letters he contains, the slower he responds. He's very well-read, so you can learn a lot of interesting things from him. In-game mechanic. › The game has a feature for receiving new emails. Depending on the player's actions, new text messages will arrive in their inbox, containing funny messages, tips, useless news, and more. This feature doesn't affect gameplay in any way, and is purely decorative and fun, designed to spice up your time on Lumirium and make learning the operating system more interesting.
