Debaashish (Mesakeabek Diobek) NandiWhat are waypoints and trackpoints ?
waypoints are stuff you track using buttons.
Debaashish (Mesakeabek Diobek) NandiWhat is the meaning of this circled portion ?
gps signal strength and accuracy of the gps (radius). If it says 2m, then your track point may be in a 2m radius
Debaashish (Mesakeabek Diobek) NandiWhat are waypoints and trackpoints ?
track points are gps points. Each second one is added or as soon as possible (in the settings you can set the interval)
if (fixCount == 0) {
TextView tvAccuracy = findViewById(R.id.gpsstatus_record_tvAccuracy);
tvAccuracy.setText(getResources().getString(R.string.various_waiting_gps_fix)
.replace("{0}", Long.toString(fixCount))
.replace("{1}", Long.toString(satCount)));
((ImageView) findViewById(R.id.gpsstatus_record_imgSatIndicator)).setImageResource(R.drawable.sat_indicator_unknown);
}
So from this we can see that the 9/14 indicates: 9 satellites and 14 used in fix
A After you're done tracking (press the save button at the top), you will see your "Track list" and a new recorded track. Hold your finger on it, there will be options that pop up. You could: export which will save the gpx and photos in a directory on your phone which you can then send to your computer and drag the gpx onto osm editor, it will display the route with all tracked stuff (notes, buttons, photos). You could also upload to OSM. It will make the recorded track public. Then you can go into osm editor, go to gps traces, your traces, and it will be there and you click edit
Yeah don't rely on the photo button too much because it's currently badly implemented. you have to like find manually the photo and if you didn't export your track you can't even access them. And to also have to guess where the photo was taken unless you look at the file name that is embedded in the gpx file(you will see a "Photo" point in the osm editor and there is embedded data)
