Costco has been installing new “Electrify America” fast charging EV chargers
Here’s an inside look at the time it takes to charge a Rivian and the cost
- The Rivian is at 27% when she pulls in
- It will take 1 hour 10 minutes to get to 100%
- It costs $62 to charge to 94%
Based on this math I would cost About $93 for a full 0–100% charge
The range on these vehicles is typically between 300-420 on a full charge
It’s literally way cheaper to just drive a gas vehicle at these electric prices

The “green” Left wants to save the planet by covering it with solar panels and wind farms.
Solar uses 300x more land than nuclear. Wind uses 2,000x more.
How is paving over America’s landscape good for the environment?

click to showChina is off to a good start on doing this carpeting their rugged mountain terrains with massive solar installations, most notably in Guizhou Province and the Taihang Mountains, to maximize solar exposure on land unsuitable for traditional agriculture. Guizhou Mega-Installations: Viral drone footage revealed an extensive mountain range in Guizhou carpeted with solar panels, stretching beyond the horizon. The province generating over 15 million kilowatts of solar capacity by 2023. Taihang Mountain Range: A massive solar farm spans approximately 80 kilometers across the eastern edge of the Loess Plateau in Hebei, Henan, and Shanxi provinces. This installation covers over 10,590 acres.

An Australian-designed nuclear reactor has just achieved criticality at Idaho National Laboratory and the demonstration equipment was transported there in the back of a Ford F-150. The Unity Nuclear Battery is targeting around 1 MW of electricity from a transportable microreactor.
Think mines, remote communities, data centres or industrial work sites. Reliable 24/7 power without thousands of kilometres of new transmission is very attractive. While Australia continues arguing that nuclear is somehow impossible, an Australian is helping develop the technology in the United States. The rest of the world certainly isn’t waiting for us.
