it’s growing rapidly, our economy and currency model are inefficient, which makes bitcoin more atractive. However, there is still a huge need for proper education regarding market solutions.
I m constantly encouraging self custody and the use of the LN, and i support local businesses in accepting bitcoin things are moving along well.

To any user of coldcard cold hardware wallet
Please check your funds and wallets, and move them to a newly created seed on a device different than a coldcard
If you have DONT have at least ONE of these conditions, please act asap :
- seed generated with a high entropy passphrase
- multisig with multiple vendors (like trezor, foundation, ledger, etc)
- seed generated by something else then a MK3 (after 2021) — other devices of not completely safe for the moment
A doubt = no doubt

I started getting more seriously interested in Bitcoin around May 2024. Naturally, when you start exploring French-speaking Bitcoin content, sooner or later you come across the Plan ₿ Network. 😎
I’m really enjoying the journey so far. I take a lot of pleasure in strengthening my knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin, while progressing at my own pace with exactly the kind of clear and structured teaching approach that I enjoy.

Hola everyone 👋 I've been in this group for a while but never posted, so here's my first one.
I'm Sebastián, a Colombian Bitcoiner living in Vienna and co-host of the "Los Maximalistas" podcast. I also run 21-commerce.com, a Bitcoin-native e-commerce store, where everything is priced and paid in sats.
But beyond sharing what I do in the ecosystem, today I'm writing for a different reason.
On August 10, a 7.4 earthquake hit Colombia, my home region included. My family is safe, but many families weren't so lucky. So I built a Bitcoin bridge: you send sats (on-chain or Lightning), I off-ramp in Colombia and forward 100% to established relief orgs on the ground.
How it works: for every 10 contributors, we mine an "aid-block" and send it to Colombia, one block of help at a time. ⛏️
No obligation at all, even sharing it helps. Also, if this kind of content isn't allowed here, just let me know and I'll not share more of this type here. 🧡

Thanks @sebastianburiticaarias for your message, I saw that you note on your btcpayserver that you have an open ledger for the flows of money. Did you have already published it ?
BTW I think it's a really good use of bitcoin for fund raising for local help via your own payment processor system kuddos 🧡
Ps. Don't know if you have upgrade your btcpayserver instance in the past weeks, but if you haven't I suggest you to do it ASAP

I managed to do a quick check before leaving work, and here's what I found.
I found the cause, and your feedback pointed me in the right direction. I'm currently using Blink (their custodial version). They're closing their custodial accounts for regulatory reasons; I had originally planned to migrate to non-custodial this weekend, since the services will only stay active in Europe until August 31, but it turns out they've already paused the custodial accounts from receiving payments.
I'll get to work on the non-custodial migration and let you know as soon as Lightning is back up. ⚡😊
