Wizards Against Thinking MachinesWhy the beauty is so lovely, but if I start thinking about it, I immediately became sad and uninterested in it? Is the point of beauty that one should enjoy it without thinking, because to do otherwise would disrupt the structure of perceiving the beautiful??
The point of beauty is that it provokes thought. Beauty should inspire to improve and wish for better times. To not think about beauty is to miss subtleties, to miss the curves marble thighs are forced into because fingers of the same material grip them; to not think means it lasts no more than fleeting attention allows, plunging one into absence of soul many experience. Beauty should be observed and given thought, so it may slip into dreams and fantasies when it is not present. To inspire one's mind even when not consciously interacted with.
Beauty is meant to be the ultimate virtue that lightens one's soul, for without aspiring to beauty, are we not less than animals that even find beauty in each other's coloration and sunrises and mysteries they cannot understand?
