HugoHey everyone, I’m trying to set up my mini-pool but I’m stuck. I originally generated my node wallet keys via the CLI, but now I want to import that specific node wallet into my MetaMask so I can keep an eye on balances and sign transactions if needed. Is that possible, or did I mess up the initial
You can definitely view your node address on MetaMask, but you should never import your actual node private key or seed phrase into a hot wallet like MetaMask. That completely defeats the security of the CLI setup. If you just want to track balances, you can add it as a "watch-only" address or track it via the Rocket Pool Explorer. What exactly are you trying to sign from MetaMask?

: Oh, got it. Glad I asked before doing something stupid lol. I wanted to be able to claim rewards directly through the RPL staking dashboard using a GUI instead of typing commands every time.
    1. T
Ah, I see! You don't need to import your node wallet for that. What you want to do is set up a Withdrawal Address. You can set your withdrawal address to a secure cold wallet (like a Ledger or Trezor connected to MetaMask). Once that's set, you can claim all your node rewards directly from that hardware wallet using the Rocket Pool overview website. It’s much safer!

Hello admins, I need urgent help. I’m trying to connect my WalletConnect via mobile to the Rocket Pool staking dashboard to deposit some ETH for rETH. Every time I hit connect, it just spins and then gives me a "Session Timed Out" or "Chain ID mismatch" error. I am using Trust Wallet. Please help!
  1. T
sorry for the hassle. WalletConnect can sometimes be finicky with mobile deep-linking. First, make sure your Trust Wallet app is completely updated to the latest version. Second, ensure that your Trust Wallet is explicitly set to the Ethereum Mainnet network before you trigger the connection on the Rocket Pool site.
    1. I
Thanks Jasper. It is on Ethereum Mainnet, and the app is updated. I just tried again and now it says "Provider Error".
      1. T
Okay, let's try a workaround. Instead of using your phone's browser and bridging via WalletConnect, try opening the Rocket Pool staking site directly inside the built-in DApp browser of Trust Wallet if you are on Android. If you are on iOS (where Trust Wallet doesn't have a DApp browser), try using the Rabby Wallet or MetaMask mobile appbrowser instead. WalletConnect bridging between separate mobile apps frequently drops packets.

Let me download MetaMask mobile and try its built-in browser... Wow, okay, that worked instantly. Got my rETH! Thanks a ton!

I'm having a minor panic attack. I just swapped some ETH for rETH using my Ledger Nano X connected to MetaMask. The transaction went through successfully on Etherscan, but my MetaMask balance says 0 rETH. Did my funds get stolen??
  1. T
Hey Dan, don't panic! Your funds are completely safe. If Etherscan shows the transaction was successful and the rETH is in your wallet address, it’s just a visual issue. MetaMask doesn't automatically display every token until you manually add it.
    1. R
Oh thank god. How do I make it show up? I don't want to click any weird links.
      1. T
Smart move not clicking random links! You just need to add the official rETH token contract address to MetaMask. Go to MetaMask, scroll to the bottom of your tokens list, and click "Import Tokens", then choose "Custom Token".rETH contract address: 0xae78736Cd615f374D3085123A210448E74Fc6393 Once you paste that, the token symbol (rETH) and decimals (18) should autofill. Click add, and your balance will appear!

Hey guys, need some help. I just staked some ETH on the Rocket Pool portal using MetaMask, but my rETH balance is showing as zero in my wallet. The transaction went through on Etherscan and says successful. Did I lose my funds?
  1. T
Hello. Dont worry, your funds are safe. If Etherscan shows a successful transaction, the rETH is in your wallet. MetaMask doesn't always automatically display new custom tokens. You just need to add the official rETH token address manually.
    1. R
Oh thank goodness. Where do I get the official address? I don't want to grab a fake one from Google.
      1. T
Smart move. Never copy contract addresses from unofficial sources. You can find the verified rETH contract address directly on our official website documentation under the Tokens section, or pinned at the top of this chat channel. Once you have it, open MetaMask, click "Import Tokens," choose "Custom Token," and paste the address.

I am having a different issue. I am trying to connect my Ledger Nano X via WalletConnect to the staking dApp, but every time I click "Stake," the transaction just hangs on "Confirming on device" and then times out. I've tried three times now.
          1. T
Ledger connection issues are quite common and usually related to browser permissions or device settings. First, make sure your Ledger firmware and the Ethereum app on the device are fully updated. Second, ensure that "Blind Signing" is enabled inside the Ethereum app settings on your Ledger. Rocket Pool smart contracts require blind signing to approve the transaction.
            1. R
I think blind signing might be turned off. Let me check. Yep, it was disabled after my last app update. Let me try again with it enabled.

Is the site down? I am trying to claim my RPL rewards using Coinbase Wallet and the "Connect Wallet" button literally does nothing when I click it. I've refreshed the page twice.
  1. T
The site is fully operational, EthEnthusiast. Coinbase Wallet can sometimes experience RPC sync lag inside mobile browsers or specific desktop extensions. Try clearing your browser cache or switching your wallet's RPC node to a public one like Infura or Alchemy. Alternatively, try accessing the dApp using an incognito window to see if another browser extension is conflicting with the wallet connection.
    1. R
Update: Enabling blind signing fixed it for my Ledger! Transaction confirmed and I see my rETH now. Thanks admin!
        1. R
The incognito window trick worked for my Coinbase Wallet, admin. The button responds now. But now it says "Insufficient funds for gas." I have 0.005 ETH left in the wallet, isn't that enough for a reward claim?
          1. T
Right now, Ethereum mainnet gas prices are spiking a bit. A reward claim interacts with our staking contracts, which takes more computational power (gas) than a simple ETH transfer. 0.005 ETH is likely too low to cover the maximum base fee limit right now. You will need to add a bit more ETH to your wallet to cover the gas, or wait until the network congestion clears up and gas prices drop
