Second game of the regular season, another one at home and a pretty good night for us. 6–1 over the Blues. Always nice to win in front of our fans, especially on a night like this when we're celebrating our captain's 800th NHL game. I was able to help the boys out with 3 assists tonight, but it was a really good team effort from start to finish. I feel like when we play good defense, we don't spend much time in our end. We have the firepower to create chances offensively, so it starts in our own end and then we go from there. 2 W's so far. Let's keep it going and stay consistent!

Tough one yesterday. First away game and we took the L in Winnipeg. I thought we had a really good first and a good start to the second. Had the game where we wanted it, then kind of let them back in and gave them some momentum that we didn't need to give them. They got a couple bounces, some tips and screens that are tough to stop, but we've got to be better when we have that kind of start. There was a lot of good in our game. Obviously the loss is frustrating, but we can't let that take away from the positives. We'll learn from it, turn the page and get ready for the next one

Good win tonight, 7–3 against the Flames. The boys played really well. Cale, Jaden and Devon had 2 goals each and I had 1 goal and 2 assists, both on Cale's goals. Good night all around. Winning's fun. That's what you're trying to do every night. We prepare well, take care of ourselves, get our work in and give ourselves a good chance to win. Back-to-backs are tough, but I think we do a good job of staying ready and knowing what we need to do. Tonight's result was a good effort from everyone

There's a first time for everything. Losing 6–3 to Toronto marked our first home loss of the season. We pushed and pushed after the first two periods but didn't have much to show for it. That's the way it goes sometimes. Toronto's a good team with a lot of skilled players. Give them a little time and space especially off the rush and they're going to create chances, that's what they did. Special teams weren't good enough. 2 goals from me in the first period weren't enough either. Simple as that. Yes, we'll be better

3–2 win over Dallas without Cale, which obviously isn't ideal, but I thought we played a pretty solid defensive game. They had some guys out too, but we did a good job of keeping things under control. Mackenzie was great tonight. We've hung him out to dry a little bit. I know there haven't been a ton of shots, but the chances we give up are pretty good looks, you know especially last game. So we know we need to do a better job and tonight I thought we did that. Good win, solid win against them. I picked up some points too, yes 2 assists and apparently I decided to get into another fight. I grew up in the Maritimes and played up my whole life, so I guess that's where it comes from. It's pretty normal for me. Most guys from that area are pretty feisty and I think it's good to do it sometimes. I mean I might be done for the year, but I guess you never know. Getting punched isn't that fun, but the guys seem to like it, so maybe I'll do it a couple more times? We'll see
