There USED to be trashcan mimics that would be trained to deck anyone who littered... but too many drunks ended up dead, so they had to be recalled and retrained.

They were told to deck them and then throw the trash back at them.... they were never told to STOP decking them if the drunk continued to just toss the trash to the ground... Also there was the issue of whether or not a dead body counted as litter to be dealt with.

They returned a group of mimics that a mayor was using as display cases for all her treasures. They entered to find a woman stuck in a chest, wearing a short skirt, asking for help. The elf came over and thwacked her ass with a stick, telling the mimic to "stop with that foolishness"- turned out the last "owner" trained it to do that, and retraining a mimic takes a while.

Erm, I am the DM and I say the elf can spend a hundred years training them to do whatever I damn well please. Now, roll for initiative. You hurt the mimics feelings.
