From my experience, I’d never used a motorcycle-style throttle on a scooter before. I had ridden different kinds of motorcycles in the past, and I even owned a moped many years ago, although not for long. It’s actually still sitting dismantled in my garage, waiting to be taken to the scrapyard. What I’m trying to say is that this was something I decided to try because I noticed a pattern. If a top competitor was running high-discharge batteries, I used high-discharge batteries too—and I wasn’t wrong. If a competitor was using 80H motors, I switched to 80H motors as well—and I wasn’t wrong. Then I saw a competitor using a Sur-Ron-style throttle. I installed one without really knowing what to expect, and once again, I wasn’t wrong. It feels incredibly natural and very safe because your hand stays fully wrapped around the grip at all times. It’s true that if you’re into wheelies, you might need to join Cirque du Soleil to pull them off with a Sur-Ron throttle! But apart from that, it’s amazing. It’s fantastic in corners, it lets you lean off the scooter while keeping a solid grip, and you can still control the throttle perfectly. I don’t know… it’s just been a really, really good experience

By the way, just as a side note and not as a conclusion, the Sur-Ron-style throttle is illegal for street use in my country
