You will see three types of people in the UPSC aspirant arena, your PG mates, friends, coaching mates or any study group.
CATEGORY 1 — NOTES, NOTES & MORE NOTES
Newspaper notes, NCERT notes, Laxmikanth notes, optional notes, toppers’ notes, short notes, one-pagers, keywords notes, topic wise PYQ notes, digital notes and blah blah… NOTES.
But in the brain? Literally nothing.
Ask them three concepts and the answer is:
“Abhi revision baaki hai, karunga tab aa jayega dimaag mein.” Jo kabhi nahi aayega.
CATEGORY 2 — LESS NOTES, MORE KNOWLEDGE
Lesser things are in notes. Most are in books, highlighted, understood and stored in the brain.
They may not have 15 notebooks or beautiful PDFs, but ask them something and they can think, connect and answer. (These are mostly good college guys, intw given people , already rankers or some brilliant minds)
CATEGORY 3 — NEITHER NOTES NOR KNOWLEDGE
Na notes mein information, na dimaag mein. The poorest category.
Bas Instagram royal entry videos dekh dekh ke motivate hote hain. Zero idea of Competition level. Now look around you. You will find all three.
The brilliant ones are usually those in the second category, people who can confidently say: “Ask me anything.” And most times, they can answer.
As a chief mentor at X IAS, I see this repeatedly. During recent UPPCS/HCS mock interviews, candidates could not even explain “Equal Protection of Laws”, despite saying Polity was their favourite subject.
Lesson: The more you fit in brain the better it is. सत्य यही है, परीक्षा के लिए ज्यादा पढ़ना है, “ज्यादा लिखना” नहीं।🙌 Happy Gandhi Jayanti ! 🌸

Dear all, the problem is that we ourselves don’t explore enough.
For most aspirants, a UPSC backup means only State PCS, EPFO, IB ACIO etc.
But have you ever searched for jobs where your UPSC preparation itself is an advantage?
I know many people I guided who are now working with NCERT, AAI, ministerial fellowships, Parliament research and public policy organisations. They are happy and say thanks 😊
Who will tell you about these opportunities? You have to search yourself.
Stop wasting time on Telegram gossip. Search, connect with seniors, build links and explore. Its your responsibility. Koi bhi nahi batayega. Set hone wale back up le rahe hain and prepare bhi kar rahe. Are you ??
A UPSC backup is not just State PCS. Financial independence can actually give you the confidence to prepare better.

-At-times we underestimate ourselves so much.That we forget our strengths, our intrinsic qualities. Attimes we are at wrong place but start judging ourselves , start taking all blames on self for all failures. May be it's your surroundings effect ? Isn't it ?
No matter how good you in something but if your place , your ambience, your friend circle isn't good. You will always be undervalued, underperforming and by self doubts you will destroy your personality. So be at right place at right time to become valuable or to get results. Be it in life or any exam.
Change your friend circle, get good environment, quit day dreaming people, get good confident people in life & have little confidence in you, know your qualities and feel you are powerful . And you are ❤️🐼

📱1- philosophy of "one source but 10X revisions" is not valid in subjects - HISTORY , Current affairs.specially in Prelims.
📱2- Current affairs must be covered horizontally more. not deeper. iska load na lena , X IAS sambhal lega ye. check this.
📱3- 10 yrs PYQs are not sufficient. even 15 yrs are not sufficient.
📱4- TELEGRAM GROUP study is myth in 95% cases.
📱5- Group Mentorship is Myth ! (One size fits all- monolithic approach is totally waste !- 200% truth, sample analysis says same )
📱6- 40 minute topper talks should not be used for entire year strategy.
📱7- u should watch utube newspaper analysis first rather directly starting reading newspaper. also if fresher , read eco , polity first before reading newspaper. u will spend 4 hrs otherwise.
📱8- every single problem in your journey has smart solution. Its just you dont know nowww. Or no mentor told u properly.
📱9- learn from others' experiences. always make friend circle in which most of them are superior to u. u will see change automatically. overhaul ur friend circle this time.
📱10- if strategies are better, you can clear this exam cycle without even any mains test series , in single attempt , with average grad marks & with normal local graduation college too.
