I think the passphrase done with 11 words from the BIP39 wordlist in english and entered in the Jade with the wordlist option is a good solution. 11 words separated by a single space.

why would you go to all that trouble instead of using a 2/2?

The standards used, wallet creation date, Creation block height and recovery scan-start and etc.. are useful. I don't know what can happen in 50 yeas. It is useful to register those things.

But this is not a standard. I'm just testing stuff on sparrow on testnet.

Liquid Network Restoration Update With key technical milestones completed and network operations stable, user swap functionality is now restored with semi-automated swaps for Federation members. Normal peg and balance validation will be reinstated soon. The Liquid Network’s members appreciate the broader Bitcoin community’s support and advocacy as we work to not only provide the restoration, but also harden the network’s security structure. https://blog.liquid.net/liquid-network-staged-recovery-update/

IMHO we need to insist a lot on passphrases and the extra info besides mnemonic to store bitcoin since bitcoin is generational health.

I am using sparrow on testnet. And I think it is a good solution that everyone can use without risks.

Sparrow gives the descriptors to you.

The mnemonic is a human readable Master Seed, right?
$
But how do you go from the master seed to the addresses?

the most secure way to hold bitcoin is using mulsitig. Hold keys at different locations, if one key gets compromised your still safe

In advanced Bitcoin custody—such as with multisig setups—the descriptor is essential. In this video, it is noted that you should never store the descriptor [in an insecure way]. The Blockstream application stores the descriptor by default, but it does not provide an option for you to save it yourself—something I am not a fan of. I hope that in the future it will be possible to export the descriptor, so that you aren't dependent on the application.

An exportable descriptor file would be an excellent addition to the blockstream 2of3 Multisig

The bulletproof way. 2/3 keys. With multisig you really need output descriptor so save it everywhere

Would this impact jade firmware upgrades form USB sticks and sdcards?
