In the Cellframe Wallet app, in Wallet Version 1, if I change the password, it creates a new wallet. In Wallet Version 2, whether I change the password or even use it without a password, it still shows the same wallet. As per my understanding, in Version 2 the password works like an app lock and does not affect wallet address creation. Is that correct? The reason I am asking is that in Version 1, when I change the password, it creates a new wallet.

We dont store wallet files anywhere . Wallets are derivated from your keys when needed( eg when you need to sign a tx) Instead we store identity.dsa ← TEE-wrapped (DNAT header) identity.kem ← TEE-wrapped (DNAT header) mnemonic.enc ← Kyber1024 KEM + AES-256-GCM Even if your phone is stolen, the keys still cannot be accessed because the operating system has no access to the TEE. An attacker could root the phone and extract the encrypted key material, but that alone is not enough. To decrypt and use those keys, they would also need the second part of the key material stored inside the TEE, and that is not accessible through the operating system.

I noticed that the CLI exit command and the signal handler on Linux simply use exit(0) to force close the application instead of stopping the events gracefully with dap_events_stop_all() which was commented out a year or something ago. Was there a reason for this?

Note, i didn't trace that too deeply, just noticed it while playing a bit with the systemd unit files.

That graceful shutdown was not implemented properly, the method you mention is malfunctioning. There were no issues observed with a hard exit(0) since global-db and chain file handling are fine with that, so it was not a priority
