Plus, almost all available digital data in the world has been fetched for AI. So there is no data left to fetch, which is why most AI companies are buying old books and trying to scan them to provide data to their AI models. I believe this is at the beginning only for Ethiopia. So if I had joined the AI field, I might have specialized either in cybersecurity or in AI, specifically by scraping old Ethiopian data, which is still hard to obtain - especially that available in monasteries (where most of Ethiopia's history and data are kept).
I think what most people fail to understand is, it is not gdeta to choose a department that you have a skill on, in my opinion sometimes if something is a thing that you can learn on your own within a few years, then I dont think it is worth giving it 3 years in university, u can take some other skill and add the computer skill u have to the new skill, then u will be untouchable, u will have two skills at the same time
Here is what I submitted.
I wanted to be part of the new nuclear power plant Ethiopia is about to build. As we all know, Ethiopia is planning to develop nuclear energy, and for that reason the country will need skilled engineers and scientists who can contribute to this field. I believe Ethiopia needs a hardworking young generation that can help develop advanced technologies such as nuclear power, artificial intelligence, and research institutions like Shaggar Institute of Technology (SIT).
I have decided to join nuclear engineering; this decision comes from a long-standing interest. Since I began studying chemistry in seventh grade, I have developed a curiosity about atoms and their behavior. I am always amazed by how nuclear power plants produce electricity and the potential benefits to society. I also have a strong passion for math and physics. I enjoy solving difficult math and physics problems by approaching them from different perspectives and working out practical solutions. In physics, I began studying concepts such as atoms, electrons, quarks, and string theory outside of my school lessons starting in grade 8. I was curious about when I first learned about quarks and string theory. I dedicated over a year to understanding quarks and string theory, exploring their nature and behavior. Although I grasped the concepts, I struggled to solve the mathematical equations associated with them. I tried to learn some calculus by myself, like derivatives and integrals. I was able to solve some simple equations using them. I wanted to grow up and explore more.
Outside the classroom, I have built websites and mobile applications to solve problems that I encountered and to create solutions that benefit society. In these experiences, I discovered that I enjoy solving complex problems by dividing them into simpler problems, which made the overall problem-solving simple and effective. I have worked as both an intern and an employee in different companies as a softwa
I completed one remote free internship with Nile Technology Solutions, a company based in Harari. I found them online; they posted about their internship opportunity on the Telegram channel named codenight (most of you know it).
Since then, I have not done any unpaid internships; technically, I have focused on working on client and personal projects.
You can find them online, such as on the tech channel mnamn lay, or you can ask them directly. For example, you can visit their office or call them to ask if they have any internships available.
i wish this can help
Guess what we got today
Asked GPT to give me contact lists of mobile app developers in Ethiopia on my sister's phone. We have got ourselves in the first place.
I couldn't find it on my own phone. What just happened?
Ask your GPT using this prompt and send me screenshots.
Give me a list of mobile application developers in Ethiopia.
I have this idea in mind, but I want you guys to work on it. 🧠 If you make it much better than I thought, you can make it a paid service. 💰
If you want me to share the idea here, show me some reactions. 👇
Cool. Here is the idea: 🚀
Build a SaaS platform where recruiters can upload employee CVs and add their hiring criteria. The AI will then analyze all the CVs and select the best candidates who match the recruiter's requirements. 🤖📄
I believe this will reduce the time required to review each applicant and match their needs exactly. ⏱️✅
I know there are many AI platforms which could do this, but most of them require payment by card. 💳 So, here you will make it possible to pay through telebirr or local banks, allowing users (employers) to upload a receipt of their payment and get things done easily. 🏦🧾 I hope this is a viable idea, and I look forward to seeing what you can do. 🤝
