3 · 1.3K · 🔴Here is also for second year students another opportunity to join the club on development division, but it is not allowed for 1st year register now
2 · 1.2K · 🚀 READ THIS BEFORE YOU CRY ABOUT YOUR DEPARTMENT 🚀
Habibi, habibti 😎… stop crying about Power & Control Engineering like it’s a punishment. This thing is a blessing in disguise! You get two majors in one: power ⚡️ (keeping the lights on, running Ethiopia’s hydro dams) and control 🤖 (making robots behave like disciplined students instead of sugar crazy toddlers). And here’s the kicker: you can still develop software skills on your own without being forced to sit 5 years in university classes. YouTube, bootcamps, GitHub — boom 💻, you can be better than half the “official” software engineers out there. Meanwhile, Power & Control is hard, yes, but that’s why it makes you smart. You defeat it, you master it, and suddenly you’re the boss..
And don’t think opportunities are small worldwide companies are thirsty for Power & Control engineers. Tesla needs you to design smart control systems for electric cars 🚗⚡️. Siemens and ABB want you for automation and industrial control 🏭. General Electric (GE) needs you for power grids 🌍. Even Google and Amazon need control engineers for their massive data centers and robotics projects. Without you, their AI would just sit there like a lazy cat 🐱 staring at the screen.
So, habibi, habibti, accept what you got. Don’t compare yourself with “software kids” who think they’re smart because they code apps you’re literally controlling robots, powering nations, and shaping the future of Africa. Be the light of Ethiopia, Africa, and the world 🌍✨. Power & Control isn’t just a department, it’s the superhero squad of engineering. And you? You’re the one wearing the cape 🦸.
yours sincerely a girl who never knows the word impossible 💪

🚀 Dear 2nd year Students – Build a GitHub That Speaks for You
If you want to join clubs like CSES Dev division, remember one thing:
👉 Your GitHub profile is your digital CV.
It shows what you can do, how you think, and how serious you are about learning.
Don’t keep your GitHub empty. Start beautifying and strengthening it by adding:
### 💡 What you should upload:
📌 Small projects (Python apps, DSA problems, mini systems)
📌 Well-written README files (explain what your project does)
📌 Consistent commits (show that you are active, not just one-day work)
### 🌟 Extra things that make your profile stand out:
✨ A nice profile bio (important)
✨ A pinned project you’re proud of
✨ Organized folders (not random files)
✨ Learning notes or summaries
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be real and consistent.
Even simple projects are powerful if they show effort and growth.
Remember:
When people check your GitHub, they’re not looking for genius —
They’re looking for passion, practice, and potential. 💙

6 · 1.5K · For Second years i will not advise you to join the dev division because you have to join the Cpd division first because before developing a software you have to learn
- How to optimize your code
- How do you think
- How to change problems into solution code
- How to approach to the solution
you have to learn the above things in the Cpd division, Cpd is worthy to develop a best software other wise when you face a problem you will stack
6 · 1.7K · Hey guys how are you for those who applied to join the Dev divisoin of CSEC i think they give for you a project to work and submit so focus on that
select you stack early - weather you use (html css js) or (express or react) or (python (django) ) decided what you will gona use
after you worked each step push on github(i will show you how to do that)
Use your time wisely try to finish and prepare for the presentation(i has presentation)
በ 🛑Focus - Try to use Vo3 for the development purpose for those who use react it is really un bleaveable production you get so don't affraid of using AI it is normal - Discover how to develop a chat bot - You can work the front end by vo3 or cursor AI so focus on the back-end you have to configure it by your self - Don't worry much because they see your try not perfection(means am not saying sleep) - Also after development for the deployement(upload the website) use vo3 itself - check - vo3 and cursorAI they are realy help full
